the water's incredibly blue

reasons today was a good day:
- until the evening, i felt much better than i had been before
- i wore my school skirt!
- we got to a really excellent episode of one tree hill
- root beer float
- long facebook chats, long phone chats, and letters from people i love

i was thinking today about how i'm a lot like my uncle Brian in a lot of ways. i look more like him than the rest of the family, we're interested in the same things, spontaneous in similar ways, silly in similar ways. i'm more like him than anyone else i can think of. what if, like him, i never get to be in love the way i'd like? at the same time, there's no one i'd rather be like. it's a nice thought.

also, what's the general opinion. we have a choice of who can come to my school for the spring concert:
